Local Melbourne printer, Erwins Printing, has invested in a Komori Lithrone 5 colour offset press. The machine was commissioned in August and is now fully operational.
Managing Director, Mick Edwards, researched and decided to purchase the Lithrone as it was compatible with an earlier Lithrone version in Erwins’ stable of presses. “It has given us more flexibility and has increased our capacity by 30 per cent,” he said.
“We are Melbourne printers focussed on producing quality colour work on time. This investment has given us extra assurance that we can regularly exceed our clients’ expectations.”
The Komori has a maximum speed of 15,000 sheets per hour with a maximum sheet size of 720mm x 520mm. It replaces an older Heidelberg press which has now found a new home in Scotland.
