Along with his partner, Ron Hall, Mick purchased Erwins Printing from Erwin Luettin in 1990. The original print shop in Popes Road, Keysborough, housed two GTO single colour presses and employed two staff. Mick has been instrumental in solidifying Erwins’ position as one of the most respected Melbourne offset printing companies around. Prior to Erwins, he was General Manager at Brownhall Printing; a large commercial sheetfed and web offset printer. His experience led him to his role as Works Manager at Progress Press; a large web offset printing company that later became PMP. Mick is a qualified printer and plate maker by trade and his forty four year commitment to the industry brings a wealth of experience and know-how to Erwins’ clients, staff and suppliers.
Having recently celebrated twenty years at Erwins Printing, Mick Hill’s experience in procurement and finishing is second to none. Prior to Erwins, Mick worked at Brownhall Printing (a large commercial sheet fed and web offset printing company). He is a qualified guillotine operator (he still has all his fingers) and is au fait with all aspects of bindery equipment. Mick’s close relationship with paper merchants, equipment manufacturers and suppliers ensures Erwins utilises up to the minute technology, products and materials in its production processes. His knowledge in these areas enables Erwins to provide the highest quality print job whilst remaining price competitive.
